2020 Nissan Kicks vs 2021 Nissan Kicks: What's The Difference?

It’s fun to drive. It’s ridiculously spacious. It’s amazingly well equipped. It’s the best-selling vehicle in its segment in Prince Edward Island.

It’s the Nissan Kicks, and new for 2021 is this updated, overhauled, revamped, and improved Kicks. Guess what? Pricing still kicks off below $20,000.

But what's the difference between the 2020 Nissan Kicks and this revamped 2021 Nissan Kicks? We've included a handful of image comparisons below so you can see the integration of Nissan's new Double V-Motion grille, the wheel changes, the additional LED lighting, and the new rear bumper. They may be small changes, but they add up to a distinctive new look. There are new colours, as well, plus three new two-tone Kicks options. 

Check out the visual differentiation in four comparison images below. As for the equipment changes, here are the major alterations and upgrades for Nissan Canada's 2021 Kicks.

S

  • • Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility is now standard equipment.
  • • Automatic high beams, known as High Beam Assist, is now standard equipment 

SV

  • • Remote start is now standard on the Kicks SV. Previously that was just an SR feature.
  • • Where the Kicks SV and SR previously used a 7-inch centre touchscreen, it now measures 8 inches.
  • • Rear disc brakes (which offer better performance and feel than drums) are now standard on SV and SV.
  • • Intelligent cruise control is now standard on the Kicks SV.
  • • The Kicks SV and SR now include a heated steering wheel.

SR

  • • The Kicks SR now includes LED fog lights, an 8-inch touchscreen, a heated steering wheel, and rear disc brakes.
  • • Move up to the Kicks SR Premium and you'll get the world-class Bose Personal Plus sound system along with an Around View Monitor.
  • • The Kicks SR Premium also includes aggressive style changes such as the bold black alloy wheels.
