Going Green With The All-New, Award-Winning 2021 Nissan LEAF

It’s no secret that interest in electric vehicles is on the rise. Within a year, worldwide Google searches have doubled for people in search of electric cars. We’re seeing international markets begin the process of electrifying their vehicle lineups, which will be rolled out on a more gradual timeline here in North America. When you factor in the financial savings and environmental impact of electric vehicles, it should come as no surprise that Autotrader predicts approximately 30% of all new car buyers will consider an electric vehicle this year.

Which is why we’ve been busy building up our inventory of both new and pre-owned electric vehicles here at Centennial Nissan! As the team behind the original mass-market electric car, Nissan is proud to announce the all-new 2021 Nissan LEAF has been named one of Autotrader’s ‘10 Best Electric Cars for 2021.’ Autotrader editors were drawn to the LEAF’s sleek styling and roomy interior, along with the available ProPILOT Assist semi-autonomous driving tech, noting that these features were especially impressive considering the LEAF’s modest price point.

Since its introduction in 2010, over 500,000 Nissan LEAFs have been sold worldwide. Our latest EV is available in two versions - the Nissan LEAF, and the extended-range Nissan LEAF PLUS. The LEAF comes standard with a 40-kWh lithium-ion battery and 110-kW motor, delivering an EPA range of up to 240 kilometers, while the LEAF PLUS has a standard 62-kWh lithium-ion battery and 160 kW electric motor, delivering an EPA range of up to 365 kilometers. Both models offer a comprehensive suite of advanced technologies, including available ProPILOT Assist, standard Safety Shield® 360 and NissanConnect® services.

So how does the LEAF factor into the PEI provincial government’s recent electric vehicle incentive program? You’ll be pleased to hear that the Nissan LEAF is one of the vehicles that qualifies for the full range of government rebates, including the $5,000 rebate for purchasing any new or used electric vehicle from an Island dealership, and a free Level 2 charger, along with the $5,000 rebate offered by the Federal Government for new EVs. The PEI government is also offering free registration for all EV owners!

If these incentives aren’t enough to persuade you to join team green, check out the stunning photos of the all-new, fully-electric Nissan LEAF below! This handsome hatchback will have you living large on a charge.

The 2024 Nissan Z NISMO is a third trim level added to the seventh-generation Z for its second model year, a top-spec option sitting above the Z Sport and Z Performance.
