June is Adopt A Cat Month & We're Not Kitten Around!

June has officially been dubbed ‘Adopt A Cat Month,’ and we would be lying if we told you we weren’t just a little bit excited for the opportunity to show off our own adopted feline family members. But before we do, we’re going to fill you in on why adopting your very own furry friend is so important and the long-lasting paws-itive effects adoption can have on the rest of your life!

Perks Of Adopting Your Pet

You’ll Save A Life

The number of euthanized animals can be reduced drastically if more people adopted their pets rather than buying them from a breeder. When you adopt, you save a loving animal by making them part of your family and open up shelter space for another animal who might desperately need it.

You’ll Meet Your Best Fur-end

Animal shelters and rescue groups are full of happy, healthy pets just waiting to go to their forever homes. Adopting a pet from your local shelter will instantly give you your very own #1 fan, brimming with love and excitement. Your rescued companion will become your biggest supporter, and will soon be an un-fur-gettable member of your family.

You’ll Have More Money For Treats

When you adopt a pet from a shelter, the fees are usually significantly less than what you would pay to purchase your pet through a breeder. Adoption fees also include the cost of your pet’s spay or neutering procedure, their first vaccinations, and sometimes even microchipping! With all of the money you’ll save at the shelter, you’ll be able to spoil your new furry friend!

Our Adoption Stories

Meet Gus

This is our adopted cat, Gus! He is four years old, and came to join our home in June of 2017. We rescued him from an old barn about an hour away from our house. As you can see, he has made himself quite at home!”

Meet Balthazar

“When I adopted Balthazar almost two years ago, I had no idea the impact he would have on my life. Of course, I knew that he would be my best friend, and that I would love him unconditionally. What I did NOT know was how rewarding the adoption process can be!

Balthazar was found shivering behind a bush at six months old. He was brought to the PEI Humane Society where they realized he was sick. Unfortunately, his illness was caused by stress, so there wasn’t much they could do for him. Months went by, and Balthazar waited to be adopted, while all the “healthy” kittens were selected before him . . .  until I saw his photo online and instantly fell in love!

I went to meet him the next day, and was told he was sick and most likely needed some love and attention to get better. I brought him home two days later and he settled in so well! He was so glad to finally be loved, and was healthy again within a few weeks.

Since bringing him home, he has helped me just as much as I’ve helped him (if not more)! He can brighten any bad day just by snuggling into my neck. Adopting Balthazar was the best decision I’ve ever made!”

The 2024 Nissan Z NISMO is a third trim level added to the seventh-generation Z for its second model year, a top-spec option sitting above the Z Sport and Z Performance.
