Nissan is investing USD $17.6 billion in the development of electric vehicles and all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs) over the next five years. To showcase that commitment, Nissan displayed the HANG-OUT, MAX-OUT, SURF-OUT, and CHILL-OUT in conjuction with one another.
All-solid-state batteries are intended to make EV batteries better in every way: thinner, lighter, more effective, and more affordable. As for the specifics of this Nissan HANG-OUT Concept, it's biggest claim to fame are the swivelling seats and an abundance of different seating configurations. One such configuration allows passengers to turn and watch movies on a huge screen at the rear of the cabin.
Obviously the HANG-OUT isn't about to land in Nissan showrooms, not this week anyhow. But as a showcase for Nissan design and technology, the HANG-OUT Concept proves that Nissan isn't about to run out of ideas.
