Built To Last: 2021 Nissan LEAF & Armada Take Home Top Honours From Kelley Blue Book

One of the most common criticisms you hear about modern technology is “nothing is built to last anymore.” Keeping that sentiment in mind, one of the auto industry’s most trusted resources set out to refute that claim.

Kelley Blue Book recently celebrated its 10th installment of their Lowest 5-Year Cost to Own awards, where they recognize manufacturers for producing vehicles that last, ultimately saving consumers significant amounts of money in the long run. These awards consider depreciation, expected fuel costs, finance and insurance fees, and maintenance and repair costs, among other factors.

We’re thrilled to announce that two Nissan models have been honoured during this year’s Kelley Blue Book awards - the 2021 Nissan LEAF was named the Best Electric Vehicle for the fourth consecutive year, and the 2021 Nissan Armada made its debut as KBB’s Best Full-Size SUV!

The 2021 Nissan LEAF has been released under two models - the Nissan LEAF, and the extended-range Nissan LEAF PLUS. The LEAF comes standard with a 40-kWh lithium-ion battery and 110-kW motor, delivering an EPA range of up to 240 kilometers, while the LEAF PLUS has a standard 62-kWh lithium-ion battery and 160 kW electric motor, delivering an EPA range of up to 365 kilometers. Both models offer a comprehensive suite of advanced technologies, including available ProPILOT Assist, standard Safety Shield® 360 and NissanConnect® services.

The 2021 Nissan Armada, our flagship SUV, has been given an extensive exterior redesign that highlights its sleek style, while the interior received some serious tech and comfort upgrades. This impressive SUV is powered by a proven 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 engine, the 2021 Armada offers best-in-class standard 400 horsepower and best-in-class standard 8,500 lbs. maximum towing capacity.
